SWISS currently operates between Zurich and Buenos Aires, with a stopover in Sao Paulo, although it did not have the authority to transport passengers between the two South American countries. According to ANAC Argentina, until October 2021 it operated with a 35% occupancy rate.

The Brazil-Argentina market was one of the largest in South America prior to the pandemic. With the easing of sanitary restrictions, the return of some airlines between the two countries was gradually announced.

For this summer season, from Buenos Aires, Aerolineas Argentinas will operate in Rio de Janeiro (GIG), Sao Paulo (GRU), Florianopolis (FLN), Salvador (SSA) and Porto Alegre (POA); Flybondi and GOL in Florianopolis, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro; Air Canada, Ethiopian Airlines, LATAM and Turkish Airlines in Sao Paulo (GRU).

Additionally, LATAM will operate from Mendoza to Sao Paulo and Aerolineas Argentinas from Cordoba to Rio de Janeiro and Florianopolis.

In spite of the return of several routes, it maintains a 64.3% reduction of flights with respect to the 2019/2020 summer season, according to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium.
