Ljubljana airport Jan-Feb passenger traffic down 93%
Passenger traffic at Slovenia’s Ljubljana airport decreased 93.3% year-on-year to 10,457 in the first two months of 2021, data by airport operator Fraport Group showed on Thursday.
Aircraft takeoffs and landings at Ljubljana airport fell 49.8% to 1,675 in the January-February period, while cargo traffic increased by 7.5% to 1,665 tonnes, according to figures published on the website of Germany’s Fraport Group.
In February alone, passenger traffic at Ljubljana airport plunged 93.1% to 5,534, aircraft movements decreased 40% to 957, while cargo transport rose 11.8% to 824 tonnes.
In 2020, passenger traffic at Ljubljana airport fell 83.3% year-on-year to 288,235.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, Fraport Group operates the airports in the Bulgarian Black Sea cities of Varna and Burgas.
