Romania’s Bega Group opened on Thursday an ibis Styles hotel in Timisoara, in the west of the country, following a 10 million euro ($11.89 million) investment, its partner in the project Accor said.
Ibis Timisoara City Center is a three-star hotel with 200 rooms, Accor said in a press release on Wednesday.
Construction took two years. Affiliated to the ibis Styles brand, the hotel is operated by French hospitality group Accor under a management contract.
Bega was founded in 1998 and is primarily focused on investing in the Romanian economy, with shareholdings in a variety of industries including technology, real estate, hospitality and leisure, oil drilling, industrial minerals, and industrial machinery.
Accor is a French multinational hospitality company that owns, manages and franchises hotels, resorts and vacation properties.
